What works today, and what's next

Features

Everything on this page marked as available runs in production today. Items marked beta or in development are labelled as such.

Monitoring and alerts

URMS checks every router in your sandbox once a minute and tells you what changed, in plain words.

Live status

Online, offline or never seen, with uptime, last check-in, model, firmware, WAN type, WAN and public IP. CPU, memory and temperature where the router reports them.

Alerts

Offline and back online, rebooted, firmware changed, WAN or public IP changed, new router, unknown router, unstable connection and failed commands. Flapping routers are grouped into one alert, not a storm.

Where alerts go

Telegram (your own bot and chat) and HMAC-signed webhooks, with per-channel event types, minimum severity, client filter and quiet hours. Email alerts are coming.

History

24-hour and 7-day charts per router: online timeline, uptime, connected devices and Wi-Fi clients. Snapshots every five minutes, kept for 35 days.

Wi-Fi and connected devices

Fix the most common support call without asking the subscriber to find the sticker on the router.

Wi-Fi networks

See each network (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and guest) with its name, channel, bandwidth, security and client count. Change the name or password, or switch a network on or off.

Safe by design

Wi-Fi passwords stay hidden until someone with the right role clicks Show, and that is logged. A guest network can't be switched on without a password.

Connected devices

A table of hosts with name, MAC, IP, Ethernet or Wi-Fi band and whether they're active, refreshed on demand.

Mesh Partial

Link several managed routers as one mesh, or record satellite nodes by MAC. Whether a node is visible depends on what the router exposes over TR-069.

Commands that arrive in seconds

TR-069 is asynchronous: a router normally only talks to the server when it checks in. URMS sets up STUN on the first check-in so it can wake the router when you need it.

refreshRefreshReads status, WAN, LAN and hosts now. Typically done live in about two seconds.
rebootRebootSent instantly. You see when the router is back from its next check-in.
queuedNext check-inIf the router can't be woken, the command waits and runs within five minutes.
resultClear outcomeEvery command ends as done, queued or refused by the router, and is logged.

Firmware upgrade Beta

Upload a firmware file and send it to one router. Owner only. Not yet tested on every supported model.

Factory reset Beta

Owner only, with the router name typed to confirm.

Sandboxes for MSPs and integrators

A sandbox is your company's private space on URMS. Inside it you organise routers by client.

Isolated per company

Each sandbox runs its own ACS instance with its own database and network. Logins from one sandbox are refused by every other.

Clients inside

Group routers by the customer or site they belong to, with contact details and notes. Move a router to another client in one step.

Roles for your team

Viewer reads only. Operator can refresh, reboot and change Wi-Fi. Admin manages clients, devices and alerts. Owner manages the team, firmware and factory reset.

Audit log

Every change, password reveal and command is recorded with the person who made it and when.

Integrations

Webhooks and the API are available on the Pro plan only.

Webhooks Available

JSON events signed with HMAC-SHA256, for helpdesks, CRMs and your own scripts. See the format.

REST API In development

For billing systems and CRMs: list routers and their status, run commands, and suspend or restore service. Ask us if you want to help shape it.

See it on your own router.

Early access is approval-based. We help you connect your first router.
